The first presidential debate on Tuesday quickly turned into a shouting match, with President Donald Trump, Vice President Joe Biden, and moderator Chris Wallace constantly interrupting each other. Most of the shouting came from President Donald Trump, which prompted some strong responses from Vice President Joe Biden which were out of place in a presidential debate.
At one point, while the two were discussing who should replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Biden told Trump: "Would you shut up, man?"
"The American people should speak," Biden said. "Vote and let your senators know how strongly you feel."
Trump interrupted Biden, asking, "Are you going to pack the court?"
"He doesn't want to answer the question," Trump said.
"I'm not going to answer the question," Biden responded.
"Why won't he answer the question?" Trump asked, talking over Biden yet again.
Biden then told Trump, "Would you shut up, man?"
He then followed up by adding, "This is so unpresidential."
Biden also called Trump a "liar" and a "clown" later in debate.
"The fact is everything he's saying so far is a lie," Biden told moderator Chris Wallace. "I'm not here to call out his lies. Everyone knows he's a liar."
After Trump interrupted Biden, Wallace asked him to let the Vice President finish.
"He doesn't know how to do that," Biden said, to which Trump responded, "You'd be surprised."
After Trump said that Biden had "just lost the left" for his stance on healthcare, Biden called the president a "clown."
"Folks, do you have any idea what this clown is doing?" Biden said. "I'll tell you what, he is not for any help for people needing health care because he has in fact already cost 10 million people their health care that they had from their employers because of his recession."
What a show.
