Many experts are predicting the end of the current series of X-Men movies after Dark Phoenix opened to poor reviews and very little money.

Simon Kinberg, a screenwriter who made his directorial debut with the movie, blamed himself for the failure of the film.

“It clearly is a movie that didn’t connect with audiences that didn’t see it, it didn’t connect enough with audiences that did see it,” Kinberg admitted. “So that’s on me.”

“I loved making the movie, and I loved the people I made the movie with,” he added.

Hugh Jackman has played the role of Wolverine for almost twenty years, but following 2017’s Logan, he announced that he would be stepping away from the character. A reboot of the franchise would be the perfect chance for Momoa to jump into the role.
