It may come as a shock, but one the greatest movies ever made, Twins, came out over 30 years ago. And in case you need a reminder, Twins is a buddy comedy film staring unlikely twins separated at birth played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.
When Julius (Schwarzenegger) discovers that he has a brother (DeVito) and a mother, he sets off to find them and ends up in Los Angeles. The two brothers have to combine their skills to find their mother and get out of conflict.
It's easy to see why so many people consider the film a favorite. And during a panel at Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio, Texas, Jason Momoa revealed that he loved the movie and was even up for the idea of a remake of Twins featuring him and fellow Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage.
When asked if he would take part in a remake of the film by a fan, Momoa wrote:
"F**kin' tell me where to sign! Absolutely. That'd be amazing. I love that movie."
Momoa then agreed with the panel's moderator that the star should turn to social media to gain support for the project.
During the same panel, the Game of Thrones and Aquaman also revealed that he wanted to play Wolverine when the X-Men franchise gets rebooted following thew lackluster performance of Dark Phoenix.
According to Cinema Blend, Momoa was asked which Marvel character he'd most like to play.
“I’d love to play Wolverine,” he said. “(Hugh Jackman) was phenomenal. I grew up just loving Wolverine.”
Many experts are predicting the end of the current series of X-Men movies after Dark Phoenix opened to poor reviews and very little money.
Simon Kinberg, a screenwriter who made his directorial debut with the movie, blamed himself for the failure of the film.
“It clearly is a movie that didn’t connect with audiences that didn’t see it, it didn’t connect enough with audiences that did see it,” Kinberg admitted. “So that’s on me.”
“I loved making the movie, and I loved the people I made the movie with,” he added.
Hugh Jackman has played the role of Wolverine for almost twenty years, but following 2017’s Logan, he announced that he would be stepping away from the character. A reboot of the franchise would be the perfect chance for Momoa to jump into the role.
