Many of us haven't visited our favorite restaurant or food joint in months. While forgoing our treats sounded easy at the start of the lockdown, it ultimately proved to be quite a challenge.
Tevin Studdard, a rapper from Indianapolis, is one of those who have struggled. In fact, he was so happy when Long's Bakery reopened last month that he decided to record a rap video celebrating the event. While the bakery opened in May, the hilarious video is just starting to pick up attention after being discovered by the people of Reddit.
“You know how many times the yeast bless my body, prolly have me back in Eskenazi,” Studdard says at one point in the video.
"I don’t f**k with 12 unless it’s in the white box," he adds.
The rapper can even be seen offering donuts to a passerby, who seems equally excited that the bakery has reopened for the first time in weeks.
You can watch the full rap video below.
As you can imagine, the video attracted a lot of attention online. Many commenters already knew the bakery that Studdard was rapping about before watching the video.
"I had a suspicion that it was Long's before I clicked," one user wrote. "Their donuts are the S**T!"
Another commenter added: "Been to Long's. I'd write a song about them too if I could. Damn good donuts."
While another user concluded: "The lady in the car with her lil coffee and donut maybe on the way to work or something. That was the best part."
Those must be some really good donuts.
